Go 'Cats, Beat the Kids!
As I had predicted, I'm not talking about respect tonight. I know, I know. I know. I know.
Some things:
I went back to Bioshock tonight. I just didn't quite feel like Halo, and that Hard Mode achievement was just asking to be unlocked. Playing Bioshock with a new set of eyes was quite revealing. While still an amazing game, some of its flaws were more apparent. Also, going from Halo 3's single-player campaign to Bioshock is a world of difference. I had forgotten that I wouldn't be shooting bright yellow and blue aliens in a gigantic desert. Instead, I'd be trapped miles under the sea in a claustrophobic dystopia. Compared to Halo, Bioshock is downright depressing. We'll see if I stick through the rest of it. Without that first-time sense of discovery, I'll admit that some of Bioshock's magic is gone. I'm guessing I'll get halfway before returning to Halo.
Nothing wrong with that.
There are no games I am going to buy this month! College!
Did you see the game today!? Being a sports fan was completely validated with NU's overtime victory over Michigan State. It was exciting! I was really excited. It's times like that where I'm happy to care.
Finally, and most importantly, Curt and Kyle have started a blog. It's a political blog that I will be reading everyday, because if I'm too happy, they must be winning. In all honestly, I'm glad they're doing it, and if you add it to your rss feed like I did, not only will you be the life of every party, but you'll always have something to say after then sentence: "This is why I think there world is going to hell."
Yawn.
